Artist Outings at Nachusa Grasslands
Looking for a landscape full of beauty, vibrant blooms, and rich biodiversity? Join me at the Nachusa Grasslands Visitor Center, and I’ll guide you to stunning locations across the preserve that are open to the public and sure to inspire your artistic palette. If you are not familiar with our five natural areas open to the public, then this outing is for you.
REGISTER
There is no cost, but please register and sign our waiver.
July 25 Reserve a spot:
*
10:00 am—Painters, sketch artists, and all other interested artists
6:30 pm—Photographers and other interested artists
We’ll arrive at the location before the golden hour to scout and photograph in preparation for a beautiful sunset shot.
WHERE TO MEET
Meet Dee Hudson at the Visitor Center for a brief introduction: 8772 S. Lowden Rd., Franklin Grove, IL. She’ll then guide you to a scenic location to begin your creative session. Dee will be available to answer any questions on-site before leaving you to create your masterpiece.
Feel free to stay at the location as long as you like and leave when you’re ready.
LOCATIONS
Sites will be selected based on flower abundance and accessibility, making it easy for artists to return on their own.
Tour Waiver
Please take one minute to fill out our
