​Fall Festival Feedback

    ​1. Overall, how well do you think the Festival went?
    2. Do you have any feedback on the parking?
    3. Any comments on the t-shirts? The Friends t-shirts had their own tent this year. Do you think this worked better than selling the t-shirts under the pavilion?
    4. Any feedback for the Welcome Area under the pavilion? Included:
    • Volunteer Table with name tags and schedule
    • Volunteer Snack table donated by Quan Tran
    • Bison skull and pelt table for interpretation
    • Welcome Table with donation box, volunteer signup, and displays
    • Elizabeth Bach's interactive soil activity
    • Friends of Nachusa Grasslands table

    ​5. Feedback on Hike Tent. This includes the guided hikes and their transport:
    6. Birds of prey exhibit. Due to the rain, they couldn't put out all their displays like usual. However, they brought many raptors.
    7. Discovery Tent and the new Bison Skeleton Activity. The new activity involved matching the bison bones on the skeleton drawing.

    11. What activities would you like to see at future festivals? We're especially interested in ideas that help visitors connect with the prairie, bison, wildlife, science, and restoration work we do at Nachusa Grasslands.
    12. Is anyone interested in joining the Fall Festival committee next year? We meet once a month, beginning in May. I have two people retiring from the committee.
