Planting Seeds for the Future

Support Friends

Your generosity enables Friends of Nachusa Grasslands to restore and protect our native prairies, woodlands, and wetlands.
Giving Levels:
  • Supporter – $1 to $1,499
  • Conservation Champion – $1,500 to $4,999
  • Restoration Benefactor – $5,000 or more

Over 95% of each dollar you give goes directly to our mission: build endowments, fund research, and promote stewardship at Nachusa Grasslands.
Ways to Give:
  • Giving options include checks, secure one–time or/and recurring credit card donations or e-checks through NeonPay, stocks, and mutual funds.
  • Donations can be designated to the Nachusa Grasslands Stewardship Endowment, the Friends Endowment for Nachusa Grasslands, or Friends Scientific Research Grants.
  • The Nachusa Grasslands Stewardship Endowment is managed by The Nature Conservancy, and the Friends Endowment for Nachusa Grasslands is managed by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.
  • Both endowments fund stewardship operations at Nachusa.
  • Friends of Nachusa Grasslands is a nonprofit registered 501(c)(3) organization.
  • Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Maximize Your Gifts:
  • Become a Voting Member by volunteering 40 hours  annually and making a financial gift of your choosing.
  • Be a “Prairie Perennial” by giving at a consistent or higher level each year.
  • Sign up to become a recurring donor on the Donate Via Credit Card form.
  • Contribute to Friends through your employer’s corporate giving or matching gift program. 
  • Be a “Heritage Hero” by including Friends in your estate plan or as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement account.
  • Get tips on legacy giving from the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois (CFNIL) here.
  • To designate Friends as the beneficiary of your will, trust, insurance policy or retirement account, we should be named as Friends of Nachusa Grasslands, a nonprofit corporation, organized and existing under laws of the State of Illinois, with the name and address of: Friends of Nachusa Grasslands, 8772 S. Lowden Road, Franklin Grove, IL 61031.
