Nachusa Homecoming 2016
Former and Current Nachusa Grasslands Staff, Volunteers, and Supporters:
Come home to the prairie on June 18, 2016, as we celebrate 30 years of stewardship, restoration, and community at Nachusa Grasslands. Friends of Nachusa Grasslands invites you to see firsthand the impressive accomplishments that we have achieved in transforming and restoring this compelling landscape over the last three decades. Whether you have been away for years or are still involved in the project, join us as we reminisce, reconnect with friends, and share in the Nachusa experience.
Our Homecoming will include bison viewing, preserve tours, a potluck dinner, live music by Kendra Swanson, and a short program highlighting our efforts and telling our story. Please join us and make this dynamic event all the more special.
2:00 – 5:00 — Tours and Bison Viewing
5:00 – 6:00 — Social Hour — Friends will provide soda and water (Bring your favorite beverage)
6:00 – 7:00 — Potluck — Friends will provide meat and veggie options for the grill. Please bring a dish to share.
7:00 – 8:00 — Program: Telling Our Story
As part of the Homecoming celebration, we invite you to share a memory or anecdote about your experience with this unique and inspiring community. Photos are also welcome. Your stories can be submitted in the Comments field below or can be emailed to [email protected]. (Photos must be emailed.) They will be posted on our Nachusa Memories page for all of us near and far to enjoy.
Please complete and submit the RSVP form below. You can send us an updated response if your plans change.
We hope you are able to come home to Nachusa this June.
