Stewardship
Successful prairie restoration projects involve careful management, unfaltering dedication, and care. Volunteers who have a desire to lead restoration efforts are encouraged to partner with existing experienced land stewards to identify available units and to chart out a plan of action. The Nature Conservancy and the Friends of Nachusa Grasslands are seeking new stewards to realize their long-term goal of restoring thousands of acres of farmland to beautiful grasslands.
