Welcome!

The Nachusa Grasslands Visitor Center is open every day from dawn to dusk.

When you arrive at the Visitor Center, park in the lower lot and climb the low hill to the pavilion, featuring exhibits that tell the story of Nachusa. From there, you can hike around the Visitor Center trail, or drive to one of five trailheads and explore. Check this link for information on Self-Guided Tours.

A hand pump with potable water and two self-composting restrooms are provided. All Visitor Center facilities have a low-carbon footprint and follow guidelines from the Americans with Disabilities Act.
