10th Anniversary Challenge Honoring Nachusa Stewards Met!
Over the past decade, Nachusa volunteers have donated over 100,000 hours of stewardship in collecting and sowing seed, conducting prescribed fire, and removing invasive species.
To honor our volunteers in celebration of Friends' tenth anniversary, four generous supporters offered a combined $50,000 to serve as a dollar-for-dollar match, and the Friends of Nachusa Grasslands community stepped up and not only met the $50,000 goal, but exceeded it!
As of June 22, 2019, our Tenth Anniversary Challenge donations from 154 donors were $134,105.40 – 134% of our goal.
